Quiet location within easy walking distance of Old Port and Marina. Clean room with basic but adequate facilities and a small balcony.

The location was great. It was very near the beach and the centre of town.
The decor was very dated and very basic. The room didn't look like anything we looked at online. The walls needed to be painted. The shower was not working properly. It was noisy some nights.

Totally recommend this hotel, and would come here again if and when I visit La Rochelle. Everything is very good, I enjoyed well-appointed room and MARVELLOUS location.

la Rochell is a very attractive and vibrant town- unfortunately hotel is not close.
2 room apartment for 4 people- to share 2 foldout settee beds, with inadequate ventilation for kitchen/bathroom or bedroom- parking difficult, view of a road. Available at this time in les Minimes are apartments with sea views, terraces, functioning bathrooms and equipped kitchens- without the surly staff for a better price.

I truly enjoyed the hotel! My 9 nights in La Rochelle where wonderful. The location in a domestic area was quiet and perfect and there were a supermarket and shops nearby. I had quick bite at Subway, it was nearby.

The apartment was clean, comfortable but a little on the small side. Bus service was good, Bus stop 5 min.walk.
Extremely hard to find, as hotel was hidden away. Needed a map to locate with a x as the address did not match hotel. It would of been nice if there had been a coffee lounge or bar on site.

The apartment was clean and comfortable. The bathroom and shower had plenty of hot water. The bed was firm and not squidgy. fine for a short break.
I found the equipment in the kitchen very limited in what we could cook.

Perfect for our family visit to the university campus and exploring the historic sites. The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful.
My children wanted a kids' play area for some entertainment.

Privacy, cleanliness
It was impossible to find. No buses, no taxis and no-one who knew where it was situated. Very difficult late in the evening. We were so very lucky to find a casual passer by to direct us, otherwise we would have spent the night in the street.

As we were attending the French Nationals saling competition it was close to the venue. The secure underground carpark (4.5 Euro/day) with direct access to the lifts was good and you slept soundly because of it. It was a relatively short (15 minutes walk) into La Rochelle town, nearest beach about 20 Minute walk.
You cannot complain about what you get for what you paid, but its very basic, its in an area that is difficult to find as its in the University district. Walking back to the appartment in the evenening can make you feel isolated. They need to provide a local map of the are showing the food / shops, resturants and best route into La Rochelle. If your the exploring type this probably wouldn't be required but it may be daunting for those who aren't. Dont rely on your sat nav to get you there!
